Yoxall Cottage
Bed & Breakfast is a pretty,
old red brick cottage dating back to before 1843 situated just
outside the centre of Alton village and once part of the Earl
of Shrewsbury's estate.
Alton is a very attractive historic village situated in the heart
of the Churnet Valley, one of the most picturesque areas in the
Midlands. It provides an ideal touring base for the Staffordshire
Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales. There are many attractions for
the holiday-maker, catering for all tastes.
Apart from the obvious attraction of Alton Towers the area is
endowed with idyllic countryside, footpaths, safe cycle ways with
bike hire, National Trust properties, several old market towns,
wild life centres, pottery and craft shops and museums - in fact
our area has a lot to offer for all interests and ages.
Several pubs in the village provide excellent evening meals.
